Communicating with Our Fans
The NFL airs multiple radio advertisements throughout the week, Monday through Friday, on sports talk radio from the time of 7am to 8:30 am. These radio advertisements will be aired on radio stations of WEEI, CBS Sports Radio, and Sports Radio nationwide. These radio advertisements will generate buzz from our target audience because this is the time in which they are driving to work and listening to what they enjoy the most, sports talk. These advertisements will allow the NFL to promote their brand and offer our target audience deals for ticket and merchandise purchases for them, their close friends, and their families.
The NFL will also air commercials from the time of 5pm to 6:30pm on sports networks such as ESPN, FOX Sports, and NFL Network. These commercials will allow the NFL to promote marquee matchups the league has scheduled for the weeks following in order to help gain viewership for those games. Airing commercials at this time will allow our target audience to see them as they will be getting back home from work around this time. Our target audience will come home from a long day of work and unwind by watching sports networks in order to get information they missed while at work during the day.

The NFL uses social media for our younger generation of fans because this is how our fans in the age group of 16 - 24 receive their information. Being active on social media sites such as Twitter, Instagram, Facebook, and Snapchat are great ways to stay in touch with our younger target market of sports fans. Being in touch with the younger generation of NFL fans is key to the NFL's longer term success because this will be our main target audience when they age. In the short future the younger generation now will be in the age group that spends the most money on the NFL and our products.
