Community Engagement

The NFL is greatly involved in the community in many facets such as donating their time and money for local charities and youth organizations within the area they play. The NFL also runs specific events in order to help raise awareness and raise money for charities and foundations in order to better the world around them.

NFL players are allowed to wear cleats that represent their own charities in order to help bring awareness to their foundations. This promotional event is the first time the NFL is running this specific event. My Cause My Cleats comes from the players wanting to wear specific cleats during games and not being allowed to do so previously. This event is also put into action as Breast Cancer Awareness has had much success with the NFL in years past.

My Cause My Cleats

Throughout the month of October NFL players and teams wear pink and put the color pink around the team. NFL players will wear pink cleats, gloves, and towels. NFL coaches wear pink hats, towels, and gear. Teams also incorporate the color pink into the teams logo throughout the stadium and on team gear. Breast Cancer Awareness allows the NFL to engage with an audience they usually don't appeal as much too in women. Also wearing pink and selling the pink gear allows the NFL to bring awareness to the cause and make some money for the cause.
